Research

Participation in carefully selected research projects enhances our success in providing state-of-the-art services for our residents and day program participants. Research partners have used the Center for projects ranging from sophisticated imaging of blood flow patterns in brains of demented individuals, to the use of Tai Chi in calming residents with late-afternoon agitation.

Education

The James L West Center mission not only includes caring for the adults currently residing in our center, but also to the education of future doctors and nurses. The West Center is proud to serve as a training site for nursing and medical profession students from the following schools:
