Kendra Belfi, MD

Dr. Belfi has been a medical director for James L West since the Center opened in 1993. She graduated from Rice University in 1968 and completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Belfi specializes in internal medicine with an emphasis on geriatric care. She was honored with a Distinguished Service Award by Texas Association of Homes and Services in 2001 and is recognized in the Directory of Board Certified Medical Specialist.

Janice A. Knebl, DO, MBA

Dr. Knebl is the inaugural Dallas Southwest Osteopathic Physicians Endowed Chair in Clinical Geriatrics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been the Chief, Division of Geriatrics for 19 years. Dr. Knebl is Board certified in Internal Medicine and has a Certificate for Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Knebl is a Professor of Medicine, Vice Chair of Internal Medicine and Program Director for the mandatory Core Geriatric Medicine Rotation for fourth Year Medical Students and the Clinical Site Coordinator for the Texas Alzheimer’s Research Consortium at UNTHSC.
